If you’re anything like us, our perfect restaurant meal involves a delicious steak! Number 13 is an upmarket steakhouse that includes a lengthy list of beef options for you to indulge in. There’s a big patio outside with some fantastic views of the marina while you enjoy your meal. The steaks here are pricey, but if you’re looking for a special evening out then this is the place for you. From their raw menu we recommend either the wagyu tartare or oysters, and for steak we can’t go past a dry-aged bone-in 32 oz porterhouse. Number 13 is open from 4pm every day except Monday’s. - Shrimp time
Shrimp n’ Stuff’s is a mainstay in Galveston and has been around since 1976. The team offer delicious and affordable seafood dinners, gumbo, salads and po-boys, and their freshness is second to none. Leon has been serving up his world famous BBQ for over 25 years and he’s earned himself the title of Dr. Bar-B-Q. Offering fresh and delicious meats, it’s Leon’s special sauce that really makes this place. Said to be handed down from his father and created on the San Bernard River, Leon ships his special herbs and spices to Galveston to create the sauce for his loyal customers. You’ll find a range of smoked ribs, smoked turkey legs, prime beef brisket and homemade boudin to choose from, along with a range of delicious and fresh sides. All of the wait staff have a great reputation for offering outstanding service, and some even give you a brief history of the restaurant if you’re in the mood for a chat. If you’re keen on desserts both the pecan pie and the bread pudding are firm favorites with all of our guests. This place opened it’s doors back in 1944 and since then has been serving up a range of delicious lunches for it’s regular guests. When you walk into the shop and cafe, it’s like stepping back in time. Photos of yesteryear hang above the shelves that are stocked with specialty food imports from around the globe. And there’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh herbs and spices! You’ll find a great range of fresh sandwiches available, many featuring meats and cheeses available from their deli such as ham, capocollo, provolone, soppressata. The service is fantastic and you can choose to eat at the counter or the booth, right in the heart of the shop. Their desserts and coffee are also definitely worth trying, their Italian cream cake is superb! Owned and operated by a local family, this place has been serving up fresh sushi and hibachi to guests for over 30 years.
